Here I am inside the Caldera. That snow further away from us is sloping more and more vertically. You can see the melt water running at the bottom of the picture. It created a waterfall and the crack in this last small hill of shifting stone and gravel  where I finally entered the Caldera. That big stone in the middle is about 30 feet away. The stone is about 10 foot in diameter, and about 4 foot of it is above the snow. At this point the highest outcropping you can see is still several hundred feet above us.
